ok, on my 88 900T 'vert (138K) I have this annoying idle issue. When you start the car cold it idles kinda low (600rpm or so) but then usually idles up to about 850rpm or so and stays there for a while.... until the engine starts the warm up, at which time it increases the idle while the temperature increases. usually by the time the gauge is up to about just under 1/2 (where it usually runs) the car is idling at about 1100-1300 sometimes as high as 1500rpm.
I cleaned the AIC out, no change. I checked the connector on the AIC, one pin was pushed back, but when I pushed that back down, the idle went up even higher. no vacuum leaks that I can see/hear, most vac lines are new. now, ther car WAS an automatic, and is now a manual, I don't know if that could have something to do with it, the wires for the drive signal are still under the console, they were plugged together when I got the car, but I've found that disconnecting them has no effect on anything anyway. I've put a DVOM on the o2 sensor with mixed results. when its connected to the car it reads about 750mv and sort of fluxuates but not really, however when disconnected it fluxuates as it should (0-900mv). Its got brand new plugs/wires, cap, rotor. Not sure about the AMM.
So, any ideas? I'm sort of stumped..
thanks so much,
-Garret
