I think back in July so I could have it on my SPG for SOC.

First look it was built a LOT better then their first generation however it still needed quite a bit of work for finishing. So I took it to my shop where they spent a few hrs adding whatever the stuff is to allow it to be filled & sanded to a smooth finish. So this was done & it was allowed to sit for a day or so before the paint was applied. The shop then applied paint & allowed it to dry for a while then they set it out in the sun to fully cure. Within a short period of time the top of the tail developed quite a large crease & buckled up 1-2 inches in a few places.

I then called SAS & sent the tail back to them. They looked at it & feel my shop is at fault however they claim they will send me another tail however I am suppose to pay shipping which I have already payed twice! So it's now a waiting game to see when/if it arrives. They sent me a email just a few days ago stating they wanted to get it wrapped up soon so who knows...... SAS claims they took the tail to a shop where they take their saabs & their idea is that the drain holes were not drilled properly (I didn't have drain holes drilled) which I do not agree with. Prior to this they felt that due to sitting the tail in the sun the paint chemicals reacted with the fiberglass causing it to warp which my shop also stated was impossible.....

Thus, I do not know yet how it fits on my SPG but hopefully I will in the coming months. Original inspection I felt it looked better then their older one however the top area of the tail was not level & was flimsy which I feel is why it buckled. Hopefully the next one will be better
