I'd junkyard it. Three Torx bolts and the base of the shifter is free, pull the clevis pin with some pliers, yank off the ball at the bottom and maybe the cap off the top if it hasn't been removed already, and the little bitty part is yours. Limit your search to 91-93 900s; earlier shifter parts may not be compatible. And for the time being, if you trust yourself, you can draw the latch stud up far enough (it adjusts) so you can temporarily defeat it, just don't put the car in reverse while moving forward!
