I'd say it's a good year. My friend's got two of them (black with burgundy or tan). Give it a good look over, don't spend more than 400 dollars if it pops out of gear or whines. You're right, seats are pretty easily cured (in about an hour) with junkyard parts. Things that are due to go between 100 and 150 include the front ball joints, front shocks, the exhaust (second time around) and its heat shield, oxygen sensor, and maybe the air idle control valve. Vacuum leaks make the car run badly, but you can fix them all (even if every possible source was acting up) for around 25 bucks. Check for clutch irregularity and fluid leaks of any type. PS fluid seepage is fairly common and easy to fix. Gearbox leaks are a walk in the park (you should seriously consider changing the transmission lube anyway) but some engine oil leaks can get expensive. They're rare. My '88 and '92 (197 and 126k respectively) don't leak a drop, mainly because I put $40 or so worth of gaskets on both cars in around an hour or two. 130ish is also time for CV joint boots to begin to degrade and tear; do some tight-radius steering and listen for clunks and looseness. Also watch the turbo boost needle under hard acceleration. It should climb and then lightly sway back and forth if the APC system is able to adjust for knock versus octane. Front calipers on the pre-'88s tended to be tempermental; if the parking brake doesn't work or the car doesn't stop straight or the rotors are warped or you hear clunking when you back up, there's work to be done there. But these are typical issues; at 135 the car's got a long, long life to live yet as long as the front suspension attachments and floor pan are free of rust.
