The car: 1993 n/a, 122,000mi, 5sp, black, it may have the s luxury style as it has fog lights, sunroof, leather and rear seat headrests, but Im not sure. Paint is black, no visible dents I could see, paint looks shiny.
It was involved in a minor collission with a deer, so hood replaced, windshield replaced looks like, new headlights one side perhaps. One Headlight wiper not working, slightly misaligned hood.
THe interior is in good condition. There is the dash cracks, but everthing else looks clean. I played and pushed buttons but the air circulation button wouldnt stay in, needs to be replaced I assume. OEA radio/cass.
When the guy attempted to start it, the car would not start, but was trying to turn over. Tried battery charger, but still not turning over. Perhaps bad battery or something worse.
I tried the gears with car off and trans seemed loose. He said the second gear is acting up so no downshifting. Also coffe was spilled in the mid console as the key slot was loose when turning.
So far havnt test driven yet, but over all the car seemed clean and decent. The car is out west. He waS offering 2500, but with the trans, key hole, bad battery? and the minor mis alignment on hood and prior "minor" damage - what would you offer? Im thinking 1000 if that maybe a little less.
Any responses appreciated.
