Lesco & group9 built the entire motor for my SPG to allow me to meet my goal of 400-500 HP. We wanted to use as many OEM parts as possible so OEM crank, rod etc were used. The block was 0 ringed & JE pistons were used.
So the motor was shipped & we installed it in my car. I followed the instructions on adding some chemicals to the coolant to help seal the headgasket however it still didn't help. From the instant Istarted the car coolant was oozing from the head & I woold see stains from the dried up coolant on the block mostly on the top drivers side of the engine. We followed the instructions again on retorquing, additives etc & it just kept getting worse. I also slowly was getting more & more oil in the coolant resevoir untill it finally got REALLY bad after maybe 2,000 miles of use. I then switched to a OEM gasket & everything is fine except for my blown trans :(
Some people do have good luck with the gaskets & I have no clue why it didn't work on my car, it was a expensive mistake on my part :(
