I am afraid this is going to be a rambling reply, but I just finished an ABS brake odessy. For me the ten amp fuse in the ABS relay box blew first. This led to discovering that the Pressure switch on the passenger side of the ABS Brake master cylinder had gotten so corroded that when I tried to take off the plug, it took one of the male spade connectors with it. I took the ABS Master Cylinder out about 4 times, replacing it with one from Fleabay. The four times in and out thing relates to the fact that I took the electric motor off of the newer assembly and put it back on incorrectly by putting the screen filter in backwards thereby preventing fluid from being pumped into the accumulator. The newer electric pump motor spun much more easily than the older one. I eventually also found that a 10 amp fuse in the fuse block under APC had also blown. I worry that your electric motor is cruddy and pulling so much juice that it blows the relay. BUT the relay is supposed to be fuse protected, so I don't understand. Maybe your accumulator is so bad that the pump must run too long and that is what blows the relay. Not the problem you want to have. Do you have a bentley manual and can trace the schematics?
