sounds to me your ignition coil and or or distributor,
try this with your car ideling pop the hood and tug on the wires play with them all to see if you hit one thats causing the missfire/power drain
give the ignition coil a real good looksy, after you had a bit of fun and didnt get shocked, might i mention if you do get shocked you found your problem replace the wire or item, but if no luck with shocky,shocky pull the distributor cap off and look inside it, look to see if its badly burnt or if it looks all good, if you see its been burn you found your prob, if no luck with the burning look at the rotor see if its well there, but im sure it is, when you put the cap back on be sure to get it on right if moisture gets in there it can cause this,
did i mention to wiggle the unit thats on the side of the distributor with the 2 wires comen out if it, well if it dose wiggle, hahaaaa you found your prob,
buuuut if still no luck get yourself new n.g.k. spark plugs and replace them, doing this will also make sure the spark pluk wires are firmly attached, if you still have your prob. after all of this,....well i dont know if you want to hear this but here it goes.
your going to have to go to the extreem, make a good puddel of water next to you car and get bare foot, jump in the puddle and try wiggleing the wires agian, the water inproves the odds you get shocked, but once it happens you located your prob... however do not do this if you can not handle voltage, tell us how you come out
