This whole project started due to an exhaust leak right where the downpipe connects to the turbo elbow. I'm getting a new downpipe but I can't really see how it will seal well. The old pipe is sound but there was a gap between the end of the pipe and the turbo elbow that resulted in the leak. The old pipe is somewhat flared on one side but not all the way around. Is there a sealing ring or something that should have been there or was my old pipe simply defective? Thanks!
