That's what I need to know, and thanks for all the cool leads on LEDs. Given my instrumentation fetish and how much I've hated having the right half of my cluster dark for so long, I think I can afford to experiment with a few different colors and strengths. It'll still be much cheaper than the next project in line, moving/replacing my radio to make room for those crucial 3 more gauges...
And even with the rheostat cranked I don't think I've ever found my tach/speedo too bright, altho maybe cleaning these, uh, "light-pipes" I read about will change that? How do you even get to them?
OMG Hairbear are you seriously saying that a) there's such a thing as UV LEDs and b) factory instrument cluster graphics would fluoresce under blacklight? Or are you just pulling my leg? I'd SO do that if it worked, nothing but numbers and needles glowing out of the black background. That would look way better than indiglo IMO. Now even if you are full of it I have to find a UV bulb for my flashlight to check and see if it's possible...
