Like Dan said, the only differences between a T and Non-T engine are the pistons (N/T pistons displace more volume in the chamber) and the intake camshaft.
Zero compression in cyl 4? Is that a wet test?
You are correct that you could have either a valve problem or piston/ring problem, or possibly a blown headgasket. Any white smoke in the exhaust? Pressurized coolant expansion tank? Losing coolant?
Does the car run at all? Any noises?
Sorry for all the questions, just practising my diagnostic skills! :)
