Just finished rebuilding the front of my 88' 900s. 4 new ball joints, all new sway bar bushings, replaced/repacked each axle, replaced the rh inner driver(Saab yard, get a left hand from junker, usually very little wear),new differential seals and O-rings, tie rod ends, new calipers, new pads, shocks, everything that was questionable. Wow! What a difference. It seems like a new car and only a way I could have afforded all that was to do it myself. If you have a bentley and/or access to the web(Townsends site), the time and patience to deal with the rusted bolts and messy job that it is, you can do this. Just take your time and asked questions. After 200k miles Saabie was needing this badly. Next month I'll rebuild the rear suspension and new Intrax coils already on the way. Still cheaper to repair than replace.
