I had a similar "cut out" issue with with my 92 900 non turbo.
The car would just cut out at various times while otherwise running smooth. It behaved as if the key was turned off for a moment.
The problem turned out to be a poor connection at the throttle switch. After cleaning the pins the problem was solved. The rubber boot was torn and I think moisture collected in the connector well which contributed to the corrosion of the pins.
