In the olden days, my foglights looked like one single big lens. In fact, until I unscrewed the retainers, I thought that's what it was!

Now, however, aside from the new lens not fitting properly inside the housing, the retainers will not cover the edges of the lens and they do not look like part of it anymore.

If I get new retainers, they may look more integrated, but will they fit? Is there a trick to fitting everything into the foglight housing? The new lenses seemed to be the same size as the old ones as far as the back part - the glass is thicker, though.

This was supposed to be the easy part. I don't know how the heck I'm going to replace brake rotors and ball joints if I can't get a daggum foglight to mount properly! :-)
