You push it through the sealing butyl rubber somewhere, then with each end tied around notches in the middle of a short stick of dowel or broomstick, or poked thru holes drilled in the sticks and tied, you can saw your way all around and release the glass.
Then of course you have to handle it to get it to where it's going to be installed. Glass is very prone to breaking if not properly supported. Laid down, either curve up or curve down, its own weight would break it while you drove. Set up on edge, you can't have the bottom touching anything hard at any point along it or it can crack from that. Best idea is make a holding jig out of 2x4s; two short (15" or so) chunks of 2x4 screwed or spiked to be a few inches apart, sticking up from the flat section of say a 4' section of 2x4; make two of those and hold them a few feet apart with a couple of pieces of strapping tacked to them. Then set your windshield in there vertical, with say a couple chunks of corrugated torn off a box flap under at each end. In the back of a pickup, or a van. I seriously doubt you could carry one safely in your vert.
Then you've got to be careful not to break it while cleaning the remaining goo off with solvent and a razor blade.
Look real close at it; it's got to be really fine to be worth the effort, and almost free as well. Say $25.
If you have a shop install it they might charge you quite a bit, especially if they have to clean it up first. Get a quote before you waste time taking it out.
And they probably won't warranty it against cracking, since it could have cracks or chips on its edges that will run across the glass at any time.
