The only engine I lost was from my rustly beater 88 spg. At that time it was my only spg & it had some tweeks done to it. I was running low on money & the headgasket failed on me. So stupid me & just let the car sit for a few months which obviously causes the coolant to rust anything it came in contact with. So a few months later I finally had the funds to get it running & after the work was done the engine just didn't have any power. Lag was horrible & it just was SLOW!!!!
However I still decided to take it to a drivers school or 2 & I blew up the engine at the Cincy SOC. I was passing a old 93f (which are SLOW) & I had Jeff Cunningham & Ed (I think, blue viggen) behind me ready to play a bit. So the 93f waives up by & as I get next to him (lapped him several times before) I suddenly realized that the 93f was pulling me & then the noises started.....threw a bearing or something.
The good thing is, is that I am not 10 seconds quicker a lap then at SOC & I hope to drop a few more seconds off this July :)
