Or are you thinking of the performance benefits? ;)

Sure, a turbo engine likes the least exhaust for performance, but there are more "civilized" methods to get power gains for street cars.

There are lots of performance exhaust options that include cats and mufflers (Magnaflow, etc) - try searching the performance board for exhaust + C900, etc, and you'll find you're in good company.

'88T with a "Saab Sport exhaust" which just seems to be a Magnaflow muffler and 2.5" pipe. (Stock cat)
