I don't know cause I've never tried it.... maybe someone who has will post about it.

Having had to replace my brake light switch three times, I've seen the relays under the dash and it just seems like it would be a lot easier with the lower dash removed. Removing the lower dash sounds and seems complicated and hard to do but it's really a pretty easy thing to do. If you do take out the lower dash....when you put it back together, tape the bolts under the hood to the wrench - it makes it easier to start the bolts.
