Verify its slipping by marking (chalk, white paint) the outer edges of the pulleys all in a line. After running, check how they line up. The outermost pulley (airconditioner) is solidly attached to the 'hub' of the pulley. The other 3 are attached by the rubber isolator. If the rubber part is slipping, those pulleys will not stay lined up with the AC pulley.
If the pulley has been coming apart, it might have started grinding a hole into the oil pump. Check for that. Besides, if you need to fix a leaky oil pump or shaft seal, you'll have to remove the pulley all over again. It's only a few more bolts & those seals are cheap. So it depends on your tolerance for repeating the pulley removal.
The timing sensor is hidden underneath the front pulley, about 11-oclock. I guess you should take care not to hit it with big wrenches. When you're doing the alternator, be careful not to pinch the timing sensor wire underneath the alternator bracket. (guess how I know about that...)
