It probably looks something like this (rotated 90 degrees).
It's the Valve Cover Breather Nipple, part number 75 17 048. They get old and brittle after 10 or so years and break like yours did.
You will also want to get the rubber bushing that it seats into in the valve cover (part no. 75 15 190.)
And, if the breather nipple is that bad, you will also want to get the PCV check valve (part no. 75 21 313A) which goes in the small vacuum line that comes from the breather nipple.
I found these at site sponsor eEuroparts.com, but you can also get them at site sponsor sobstory.com and a few other site sponsors, not to mention the SAAB dealer (although the dealer is always more expensive and probably has to special order the parts if they're like the dealer in ATL.)
