Michael, It's funny that the date on your original post, 6/30 I was in Cornwall, NY., on vacation visiting my brother. Here are 2 mechanics nearby who can install your engine/tranny. Try Barry's in New Windsor; last year I ran my Saab to Cornwall, and had idle problems while in town. Turned out he had to replace the throttle position sensor and harness, which he used from a donor car in his lot. While down here in NC, while all the local mechanics could not diagnose another malfunction problem I had, even with thier fancy diagnostic computers. I called Barry and he told me, without even looking at the car, to replace the Hall sensor at the crankshaft & ignition coil w/amplifier & the problem would be corrected. Sure enough. The guys good. He's got class too. Do you know any mechanics who work on cars smoking a $200 pipe with Borkum Riff cherry pipe tobacco?
Anyway, Barry may not want to do engine/trannies anymore, he's close to retiring. Here's the man who own's a Volvo station wagon as his personal car and knows everything about cars. Heck, he even installed a Holly 4 barrell carb in a 73 Datsun 240Z I had. Call Eddie at K & K cars. His shop is in Middlehope. I sent you an email, this post is a backup, in case you didn't get it. Let me know. Dave
