I did a search, and didn't find much info on TE05s with a high pitched screech. In the first 20 minutes of driving, there is an annoying ex manifold leak along with an even more irritating screech under acceloration. It boosts semi normal, and does not smoke. When I first bought the car, there were teltale signs of it, but got worse over time. I asume failing turbo bearings. My other question is who rebuilds the Mitsu TE05? I am throwing in a T3 until I can afford a rebuild. Help is greatly appreciated.
