I cleaned the contacts in my '93 vert switch pack a couple of evenings ago when the driver's
front just got too flaky to deal with anymore. Be very carefull prying the switch open. I used a
bunch of snap-blade type hobby knives to hold down the little plastic tabs that hold the two halves together.
The switches each have TWO little copper rockers, like a see-saw that rest on the cross bars of a pair of little copper uprights shaped like the lettter H. The rockers are specific to the switch, the front ones are a little different from the rear switches. They all have little notches in the sides of the rocker part where the "see-saw" rests between the uprights in the h's. A bit of very gentle rubbing with some 600 grit paper cleaned all the contact points and the places where the copper bits contact one another. Pay carefully attention to the really thin metal contacts for the two front switches that cause the power to hold in the on position when you push the switch all the way down . These two litle rockers have a contact point on both top and bottom faces. All the other
rockers just have contacts on their bottom faces. Put all the copper bits back together in the right places and gently snap the two halves back together and your good to go.
