I did mine in January (no other choice when you can't afford a new car and the thing isn't finding any gears until it warms up) and the motivation (as I've already said) was a little better.
When you do get cleaned up, though, treat yourself to a party. I'm not kidding! Keep the used french onion dip containers to hold fasteners, and get a permanent marker to mark the containers (slave bolts, clutch cover, bumper sundries, et cetera) and make reassembly easier!
