I just replaced the instrument cluster on my 91 900 turbo with what I thought was the exact same instrument cluster off a junkyard 900 turbo. They look identical, and they mostly are in the rear of the cluster, but there is a cable with 5-6 wires into a clip coming from my car and there are 6 pegs, 2 columns of 3 rows, of which my plug will not fit. I went back to the junkyard to exume what I thought would just be a different clip of the same wires, but what I found was only 2 wires into a single row of plugs. Meaning there is 1/3 of what I expected to find. Does this mean that there WAS more wiring that maybe someone got to before I could get back there or just that only 1 out of the three rows needs to be plugged in? If the latter is the case, which one of the three rows do I plug it into. The two colors match out of the 6 wires coming from my car, which is nice, but there are 4 others (there seem to be way too many wires in the dash...there are like 8-10 wires just for the hazard light switch) and I wonder what they go to...If anyone knows what I am talking about, I would be helped greatly. Surely, someone with the same type of new instrument cluster with the 6 gold male plugs on the back of it who has taken it apart will understand what I am talking about. If so, I would also like to know actually what these wires do. I know the gas, the turbo, the rpm and the temp gauges all work fine, haven't found out yet if I fixed the problem I had with the speedo/odo because I haven't taken it out yet and don't figure that's what it is...is it power?

Thanks to anyone who understands...I am buying a bentley today actually, I just don't know if it will cover different model instrument clusters...
