remove the passenger side sill cover and the metal vertical carpet covering piece ahead of that. Then pull back the carpet. That is where the ECU is, and that is where you want to be reaching to pull down the wire you poked through.
If it's a power or audio wire going to the back of the car, run it under the seat and carpet while it's up. You can have the wire come up under the back seat. Put a Bentley manual on your Christmas wishlist. I did this to power an amplifier I installed under the rear seat. I also ran an extra pair of wires for a second cig lighter outlet in back, and ran the line level wires under the carpet while I had the carpet peeled back.
