Yeah, there's an '86 900 (blue, IIRC) and a really nice 1985 900T 4-door. I can settle for either, but an '86 900T is EXACTLY what I need, so I've been holding out.
I'm replacing the fusebox in my 1980 900T so I can have the more common blade-type fuses instead of the unreliable ceramic ones, and so I can ditch all my custom LH/APC/Hall-Effect wiring. The '86 900T has everything I need, including the right wiring for the old-style front corner lights. An '85 900T would work too, but the LH wiring is funky and of course there's the disintegrating insulation to worry about...
If I keep running into walls, I'll either use an '86 900S and install EZK (for fun, I've always wanted to try an EZK Turbo), or find an '87/'88 and just commit to rewiring the front-end lighting. I don't wanna do that if I don't have to... it's more complexity than I need; replacing the fusebox and repinning those 152 connectors is enough to worry about.
FWIW, I realize I could replace the wiring harness throughout the car. That is still an option, but a) I don't want to, and b) retrieving the entire wiring harness from a junkyard is a PITA. If I had a parts car I'd do it, but I can't even find a pre 1990 parts car! Old Saabs are getting hard to find around here...
