My SRS light ('93 900 S 'Vert, 5-speed ) started blinking the other day. It blinks for a short while then turns on and stays lit for as long as I drive. It does the same thing whenever you re-start the engine. The horn buttons both work. I've seen a few posts that link the srs light blinking to a failed
clockspring in the steering column but also say that this causes the horns to fail due to lack of a
circuit connection when this spring fails. I have until next August before I need to go
through state inspection again. I have a spare airbag from my late 1990 900 s hatch available but
since I can't re-set the warning light myself, I wouldn't know if replacing the bag fixed the issue or not? Any ideas?
