There might have been some confusion, the Motorcraft filter is about 1/3 the price of the M1 filter which is over $10. I was actually considering upgrading my oil filter. The Mann is still $5, but now the Saab OEM is up to $8. My question was sparked by another poster who suggested the Motorcraft for a 9-5 and said that it was nearly as good as the M1 filter. IIRC the M1 was one of the top rated oil filter in a comparison test, nearly as good as the AMSOIL unit that is expensive and difficult to find.
Just trying to get the best filter for the best price.
