Is it?
I checked with eE and they don't... In my 8 valve I replaced the thermoswitch housing with the accessory washer fluid heater; my 16 valve I was going to make a custom hose out of a lower radiator hose or just leave it in, but I want to get rid of it.
The purpose of that thermoswitch is simply to shut down the AC if the coolant gets too hot. The sensor that threads into the reciever-drier in the right front forward fender well is a pressure switch, too high or too low and that cuts out the AC.
