Basic B202 Performance mods? Posted by 99Super [Email] (#2837) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 99Super) on Wed, 14 Feb 2007 09:45:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
All;
I'm mostly a 99 guy (my only 900 is an 86 SPG), but I'm weeding my B-motors out of stock and am planning to start by eliminating the BSi20 from Frankensaab and have a BSi202 ready by June to go to the SOC in Aug.
So, what are the basic mods I need to do to get a target of 220-240hp?
I'm planning to use a BSi201 Block w/ 8.5cr pistons and a Bi212 head, but I have most 900/9000 engine bits on hand to mix and match as necessary.
So, roughly, how much boost do I need to run to hit these HP numbers and what kind of fuel/ignition mods do I need to support that boost?
The point is to keep cost to a minimum and target those mods that will give me the biggest bang/buck. Which Injectors? FPR? Intercooler?
I'm working on a MegaSquirt system but may not have that ready in time so either modified CIS (existing) or LH2.2.
Who has a recipe that works? Reliability is a must.
Any thoughts on this appreciated!
Sorry if these q's sound basic, but I know 8v CIS, not 16V LH.
TIA!!!!
