...You can do it with hood on or off. Most difficult part is pulling both fans if you have not turned the bottom holes into inverted 'U's by openning them up to allow the fans to slide in and out.
You need to pull the turbo ducting, pull the fans, undo the hoses, then remove the 2 screws holding the radiator.
You will need to install the fans onto the new radiators. The fans' mounts warp with time, so you will need to gently make them fit. I would do this first with the fans out of the car, then remove the fans and insert the new rad. The put the fans in (after notching the bottom holes if needed.
You need to dry fit the fans to allow the self tapping screws to go in easily and straight.
I prefer brass radiators for many reasons including you can solder them in any backwards bucktoothed town. They are just as efficient as Aluminum, less prone to corrosion, and not really that much heavier.
