In trying to find my vac leak Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Tue, 20 Mar 2007 20:19:20 In Reply to: Re: just hooked it up and the control works, BobH, Mon, 19 Mar 2007 19:16:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
i looked at the back of the switch and inlet #7 has no hose hooked up to it, worse yet i can not find any vac. hose laying around that would have plugged in this hole.
now on further inspection to try to find the vac. hose that may have been pulled, i found something that looked strange,
wedged in-between the back side of the knee bolster and i think (not sure here) the body.., best to describe the area in question,... right where the 2 lower bolts under the glove box would screw in (to hold the dash) come towards you about 3 maybe four inches,(sitting in the passenger seat) with the dash out you are able to see the upper part of the yellow foam of the knee bolster or unit,
where the knee bolster meets the frame,
in the crevice that is there, it just happens to be the end of a vac. line sticking up about 1 inch, wedged between the two and has a plastic plug in it.
the vac. hose is so tightly in the wedge it is unable to be moved with out loosening up the bolster,
now i know im calling the piece a bolster and im sure it has a way far different name,
its the unit above the passenger legs and under the glove box.
anyhow. dose anyone here know what this plugged vac line is?
or has someone been under my dash with out me knowing.
