The 88 could probably shift better with a change of transmission oil.
Save it for a spare car or a winter car.

Sell the 1993's and look for a turbo 5 speed. Figure any e-bay car, or probably any used car for that matter will require a bunch of minor work either the seller didn't know about or pretended not to know about. I bought a real nice Saab 900t from florida, and the heat doesn't work - probably something they don't bother to test much down there, and a bunch of vac hoses were cracked from the florida heat.
