I had a soft cover on my '93 900CV. It looked nice enough on the car except that it was charcoal grey (one of only two colors available). The car was black with taupe interior. What I really didn't like was having to drill all the holes in the trunk drip channel and parts of the interior for the snaps.
And sticky velcro tape that oozes gum in the sun.

My 1986 Lebaron boot has long plastic strips sewn in that clip under a chrome strip on the car. No snaps and quick as anything to get on and off.

I'd love to see something similar on the Saab, a secure soft boot with no snaps or velcro.
