Did this last year on our entry for the 24 Hours of Lemons (1990 900T).

How hard? Not that hard, but a pretty involved job.

Obviously you get to remove ALL that ABS crap in front of the firewall: master, pump, accumulator, ABS distribution block on inner fender, etc. I don't remember if there is a booster but I think so.

Replace with booster, master cylinder and lines from master to firewall distribution block. You won't be able to recreate the dual-diagonal plumbing because the ABS cars only have 1 line going to both rear wheels. (Unless you run another brake line all the way back there). There may also be a 'trick' with the front circuits also...in any case, you end up with front/rear circuits instead of dual diagonal.

There is a bunch of ABS wiring, wheel speed sensors, and a computer running it all. Since we were building a racecar this all came out; but in a street car it wouldn't really matter.

Not done yet! You still have to replace the pedal assembly with a non-ABS unit, which is done from the cabin side. Nothing hardcore, but it only comes out after you pull out the center console and knee bolster, and still it's not quite accessible. The bracket is held in with 2 nuts on clutch master, 4 nuts that hold pedal assy to firewall (same as booster nuts) then 2 more nuts on firewall (engine side) just under windshield. Transfer all cruise control switches, brake pedal switch, and springs & other hardware to new setup.

Might as well use a pedal assembly from a 5-speed, since you may convert to that if and when the auto trans explodes!
