Unfortunately its hard / impossible to tell if a car is a true SPG by the VIN#. It does have the side body cladding (on the doors, fenders, right)? Those bumpers are probably saab accessory airflow bumpers, and the whaletail was a saab accessory too (you can search here or google to get more information). Those airflow bumpers and whaletails are rare, highly desirable accessories (everyone has diff opinions on whether they prefer them to the stock bits though).

As for the KM odometer and speedometer, this could be an import or a canadian car. I believe if you look under the hood at the emissions sticker (on drivers side, white (?) sticker, says year of car, engine info, vacuum hose routing diagrams. If you look at this sticker I think it tells you the market (s) the car was imported for. So for example, mine is a white sticker and says 1990 (US). It might say "CA" if yours is canadian... or if for another country, something else. Never tried looking for country of import this way but it might work.

Also -- if its a US "SPG" (aero in rest of world)... if you (and you probably dont want to do this)pull the door panel offf, there's generally a white sticker with black writing on it that says AERO. That's a surefire way to tell.
