Here goes:
you turn the engine so that one of the pressure plate mounting studs on the flywheel is at about 4 o'clock.
pre-mark the holes on the pressure plate so you know which ones go on the 3 mounting studs.
assemble disc, pp and slave together, no wraps, strings, threads or anything.
tip the top slightly towards the front of the car so that the disc doesnt fall off the pp.
get one hole of the PP on the stud at 4 oclock. THAT IS THE KEY!
once that is done, the PP is close enough to the flywheel to drop the mess down and to the left, into place and onto the two other studs.
There are three 'openings' around the PP where you can access the side of the clutch disc.
You turn the engine such that you can get a phillips screwdriver thru one of these openings and under the disc to lift it up, while pushing the input shaft in. once its thru the disc, keep maneuvering the disc until the shaft seats in the pilot bearing. You might have to tap it or pop it with a crowbar to get enough pressure to seat it.
Try that next time!
