Hi,
I removed my entire top frame to have it powdered coated and had some reassembly issues. When you say that one part is higher than the other, do you mean the front bow (the front most cross member of the convertible frame) is higher when latched to the car? That is, when the top is closed the top doesn't sit square with the windshield?

If so it's not too painful. The inverted question mark bolt that actually goes into the latch has a set screw (I think that's what they are called) built into it. It's the kind of screw that has a flush internal head. Find the correct size of allen wrench (it's pretty small, maybe 3mm but that's a guess).

Guess to which side is correct (my money is on the tight side) and look at the number of threads exposed on the inverted question mark latch. Just count them. Go to the lose side and count the number of threads exposed as well. Loosen the inverted question mark screw and turn it in until the same number of threads are exposed. Tighten and close the top. See if it works. If so, Hooray! Otherwise, repeat as necessary.

Hope this was it, otherwise I wrote a long report for no particular point.
