Well the yellow ones are supposed to be "for race use" but they'll work on the street too. The red is supposed to be for "high hp" or "tuned" cars or whatever. I don't think any of them are designed for grooved rotors, I don't see what you could do differently. Maybe there are some pads that allow slotted rotors to "scrape" the friction surface clean every time you brake? No race pad will be for drilled rotors, because drilled rotors generally aren't used by racers (well smart ones anyway). Anyway none of that's in the descriptions that I've seen for the EBC's, you're probably safe.
Of course horsepower has nothing to do with how much braking power you need, it's how fast you drive that counts ;) A 300 hp 900 will take no more braking force to stop than a 165 hp one.
But seriously, the redstuff are very good. I've never used the greenstuff, but if you liked the greenstuff, you'll probably like the red, too.
:)
