I've recently been having my right front brake locking up and overheating and most of the extreme wear was on the outer pad, which was down to 1-2mm of asbestos. Rotor not obviously burnt or scored yet and no previous sign of leaking hydraulics. I pulled off the caliper and found considerable corrosion, especially in the chromed skirt of the indirect piston, where about 15-20% of the chromed area was seriously rusted, although no obvious rust, corrosion, or scoring inside the caliper body, I'm not sure if both caliper pistons were able to move at all, or move independently like they are suppposed to, prior to me gooping on the penetrant and taking everything apart.

Are rebuilt/new calipers easily available (where?) for the 900, and if not, would it be a fools errand to try and rebuild the old one? I'm in the Frozen Prairie about 80 mi NW of Chicago, so no junkyards with SAABs in these parts.
