I replaced my leaking oil cooler hoses w/-6AN SS braided teflon hose & Earls/Holley -6AN flare to 3/8 NPT adaptors. The stainless steel braided hose looks SWEET & everything has been leak free since I completed the project earlier this year.
The drawback is that there is a lot of work involved. For starters you have to drill out the oil cooler & filter tripod mount fittings & tap them for NPT threading...being careful to check for proper termination of the angled adaptors (needed at the tripod mount) so they don't end up pointing the wrong way.
I think I posted a more detailed description around Jan or Feb 07'...probably under "not here often", my old posting name...when I wasn't here often ;) ha-ha! - I'll look for the post.
I have a slew of photos of the operation on the borrowed laptop I'm using...which my wife has to return to her employer in a few days - so I may have to revert to posting under "not here often" again ;) Anyway, if someone can tell me how to post the photos *hey Vvaco' - help!* I'd be happy to show them to everyone.
Zal, you probably won't want to go to the extreme as I did...I'm sure eEuroparts has new OEM oil lines & if they don't list them, call Dean - he can most likely get them.
