James, see my post below about a similar issue. If lucky, it could be that something in there just needs a good tightening. In my case, the crash cage decided to reconfigure itself:-( To investigate, you'll have to remove the lower dash pad. If you wind up having to dig deeper and remove the airbag for some reason down the line, make sure you disconnect the battery for at least half an hour. And don't reconnect it until the bag and wiring is back in place or you'll get a warning light that requires a dealer reset. Ask me how I know this...
