speakers in the dash (saab pn 40 67 989). says nom. 20w, clarion pn 4004. i've just replaced them with sonys as the rubber surround and paper cone on one of my oem ones was disintergrating.
the rear 4x10's are also 8 ohm. i do not know if the verts had 4 ohm to accept more power to compensate for the road noise.
my understanding of ohm ratings is that 4 ohm speakers will draw (take?)twice the power of 8 ohm speakers. so wires will get hotter, etc. i think that's how it works anyway.
it seems most new speakers and head units are 4 ohm impedence from what i've seen in audio departments of stores. that being the case you should be ok with the system you've got if your speakers are infact 4 ohm.
