Idle Too High ~ 1100 RPM Posted by 88SPGClone [Email] (#1317) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 88SPGClone) on Sun, 24 Jun 2007 19:42:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
88 900 Turbo - 5 Speed
When the car first starts it's around 850 RPM. As the car heats up (1/2 on temp), it idles at 1100 RPM. The AMM has been swapped a few times, but same issue. The O2 sensor hasn't been changed for 14 years. :| The Hall Sensor wire is pretty cracked and dicey, but no obvious reason to replace. I recently changed the auto to 5 speed and of course something may have changed it's behavior. It runs fantastic and gets around 30 mpg. Any suggestions to get idle back to 850 while warmed up?
