The cure for FSS

That's Flat Seat Syndrome.
I pulled my seats last night to redo the elastic in the rear pockets since they had no elasticity left and were hanging open. (See twinsaabs for seat skin removal instructions). When I pulled the skins I noticed that the wire framewirk that secures the recessed sections of the seat to give the seats contour had broken loose from the skins. Evidently they were originally secured with some very fragile linen fabric that had rotted over time. Where the seams are sewn together they left about 3/8" of extra leather. I used a leather punch to punch holes in it about every inch. Then I used nylon cord to lace the wire frame back in place. Now my seats have their contour back. Much more comfortable drive in to work this morning. :-)
