Hi all,

I crunched the headlight on my just-bought '93 900 while parking behind a car with headlight-level bumpers. Seems like a simple enough thing for a dunce like me to fix, even if the parts aren't as cheap as I'd hoped, no?

So the first thing is simple: which part do I get? Parts for Saabs has 4 possibilities: RH and LH glass and full assemblies.

The light is on the passenger side, which I'm guessing is considered the right hand side, yes? Next, do I need the glass or the whole assembly? Looking at the damage, the glass is broken but the reflector is fine. However, opening the hood I see that the plastic parts holding the light in place are broken too. I also see that the glass is glued to the reflector, and I wonder if it would be possible to attach new glass. But if not, why do they even sell the glass separate?

The next thing is that Parts for Saabs not only wants $400 for the assembly, but also won't ship them to the U.S.. Does anyone have suggestions for finding the assembly for less and in the right country?
