its not if its hotter than the stock bosh, its how much current can it give.
i found the stock bosh coil cant give the current i need to pull boost past half (red/orange)
my coil gives the motor electrical failure if i try to boost past mid red.
the problem is not that its not hot enough it that the coil is only pushing 40,000 volts with 100 spark current
and when my motor is trying to boost past mid. red it requires more spark current than the oem bosh can handle.
after searching high and low to solve this problem i found a coil in the can style that puts out 45,000 volts and has 200-300 current spark.
now this is not a hotter coil its a coil that is packing a turbo
and when the coil is required to give large amounts of current (as in boosting past mid, red) it will be able to, and will handle average driving like its taking a nap.
if you would like to experience what i am talking about, with the coil giving the motor full electrical failure stop by an auto parts store and pick up there cheapest coil they have for the 900t, (your looking to spend round 25buxs.)
install this coil and try to boost with it.
soon as the boost needle reaches the start of yellow the coil will have full electrical failure, and will do this every time the car try es to boost.
this is the exact failure the bosh gives at mid. red
it just the cheap coil is probably sitting around
30,000 volts with 50 spark current.
at the moment i am still running with the oem bosh,
which sucks because i know once i approach mid (red/orange)
in boosting i have to let off, but soon ill have the blasten coil
