Restoring an 86' Turbo

A few months ago I decided to dump some more money into my 86 900SPG. After installing a new clutch, new rotors and calipers, valve gasket, radiator, new batery, altinator, water pump, belts, tires, fuses and lights.... (I am sure I am forgetting some things) I am down to the little nusaunce things.
Only thing different about the car is that I removed the AC unit that hasn't workied for 10 years to make room for repairs. Right now she runs great, idles perfect, handles well, howevever I am only getting base boost, so I bought a spool of hose and am in the process of replacing all them.
OK that said here are my problems:
The clock, odometer, tackometer, and heat gauge do not work. Nor do the interior lights byy the door or the windshield, but the trunk light does work. Replaced all bulbs and all fuses are good.
Also - does the vacuum system rely at all on the AC compressor? I wouldn't think so but I replaced the hoses already that I thought would be a problem and still no boost, and I can hear that vacuum sound coming from somewhere but can't find it!
one more thing - the plug on the valve cover is loose, it popped out and I popped it back in and it runs with no leaks - should this be sealed?
Obviously been awhile since I worked on a Saab. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this!!!
