Background: Safe-T-Cap is a weld on product manufactured by a small shop in Cranston, RI called "Auto Rust Technicians" (google safe-t-cap). They sell the repair kit (and also can install it) to repair the frame rust in the pocket of the frame side right by the A-Arm mounts.

I had Auto rust Technicians install the repair. Took a day to install, and now the car handles much better. I did not realize how it had deteriorated.

It isn't perfect- I need to work on some POR or coating to keep the rust at bay. I think the welds look good, not just tacked in place.
Of note, I am not affiliated with this company in any way; this is just my way of reporting a "field trip" that helped keep my daily driver on the road. John, I hope your repair is as good.
Overall, I was very pleased with the repair and think it's worth the money keeping my 90 'vert on the road...safely.
